When someone you love dies it is such a difficult time for everyone involved,you are in a very emotional state and the last thing you want to think of is what do I do next!! This is where Laura Henwood and her team were invaluable,from collecting our mum from the care home she had been living in,to helping with all the funeral arrangements and beyond and telling me what exactly needed doing (I hadnt a clue)

Laura visited us a couple of days after mum passed and her compassion and empathy shone through,she guided and advised us on what needed doing and arranged everything in an exceptionally professional way,nothing was too much trouble,the cremation,service,flowers,our ideas for mums funeral and what happens on the day.To be honest there are so many things to think of but Laura takes everything in her stride and after various emails and texts everything was organised.

The actual funeral was so well run,she makes the day more bearable.

Her caring professionlism shone through at every step and I would not hessitate in highly recommending her to help with your own loved ones arrangements.

My partner's funeral was scheduled for Friday 18th February 2022. The day storm Eunice hit. It got cancelled 1½hrs before it was due to start.

Laura Henwood went above & beyond the call of duty to make sure the funeral went ahead, albeit at another crematorium, because people had traveled from all over the country to be here.

Throughout my whole dealing with the Henwood family they have shown the utmost in professionalism, treated us with respect & compassion & been absolutely fantastic. Laura even sat with my 15yr old daughter & designed the coffin to her exact specifications.

I would definitely recommend these lovely people as they are total professionals & treat every client with the same caring, special touch.

My Dad passed away in January 2024 and I really didn't know where to start with funeral arrangements. From the very first moment I spoke to Laura Henwood, I knew I was in good hands. She is professional, kind, compassionate and thorough. She explained everything but without overwhelming us with options. She asked what we wanted and never tried to get us to add anything on that we didn't ask for. She also has contacts for service providers and florists etc. Just from speaking to us about my Dad, Laura even designed a personal order of service cover like a photo album as he loved travelling! We were all overwhelmed with this attention to detail. I could go on all day but, suffice to say, Laura was our light in our darkest hour. Funeral cortege spotless, staff so smart in their Cornish tartan and nothing on the day was rushed and Laura literally told us where to stand, what to do next etc which is so valuable when it is all you can do to stand up! The icing on the cake was the amazing price. You hear nightmares of funerals costing tens of thousands of pounds but ours cost just over £4000 (cremation, hearse, funeral car for family, orders of service, collection of Dads body from Treliske, viewing, several face to face meetings and endless emails and phonecalls, service in Bodmin Crem, preparation of body, Laura and drivers fee, Dad's ashes in a beautiful container and I'm sure much more which I can't think of right now) In short, make sure Laura Henwood is the ONLY funeral director you ring, it'll be the best thing in your hour of need!
